Our Commitment to Web Accessibility

Code Consultants International is committed to providing a fully accessible website experience for all users of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies like screen readers, screen enlargement software, and alternative keyboard input devices to navigate the web.

Ongoing Efforts to Ensure Accessibility

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 level AA as our baseline for accessibility. As we add new pages and features to our website we are checking it against WCAG.

Website accessibility is an ongoing process. We continually test content and features for WCAG 2.1 level AA conformance and remediate any issues. Testing of our website is performed by us manually and using industry-standard tools such as the Accessibility Checker WordPress Plugin, color contrast analyzers, and keyboard-only navigation techniques.

Accessibility Features On Our Website

The following is a list of items we have included on our website to improve its accessibility:

  • Our brand colors were intentionally selected for color contrast and meet AA requirements.
  • Text links are distinctive and descriptive.
  • A warning is provided before links open in a new tab or window.
  • Font size meets WCAG’s criteria.
  • Uses semantic HTML, headings and a “skip navigation” link.
  • Images use descriptive alt text, decorative elements are empty.
  • The website can be navigated using keyboard only (tab, space bar and enter/return).
  • Our website design has a mobile responsive design.
  • Forms include labels and instructions, along with clearly marked errors and messages.
